These days hardcore gamers only care about their K/D ratio. With the Elite App you can now pull out your phone and bring up those stats up to put your mate to shame.
The Call Of Duty Elite App launched a couple of weeks ago for the iOS and Android. I was very disappointed when starting it up for the first time and having server issues like we saw back when the Elite service was first announced. After a day or two the App worked fine, might of just been me but sometimes you just want things to work if you know what I mean.
The Elite App covers all the important stuff in Elite like Career Summary, Recent Matches, Custom Classes, Challenges and Find a Friend.

What COD Elite App Got Right
Beside the early hiccup of trying to join the service, the Elite App is pretty slick. As like it’s PC counterpart everything is generally the same but with a touch interface. Who ever made the call not to implement groups, clans and gameplay tips made a great decision. I found that part of the service very sluggish and unreliable at most times on the PC. Neither the less we hope to see those features added soon in further updates.
As I mentioned before the App Covers all the important stuff in Elite, so lets run through some of the basics.
Career Summary - Career summary is probably one of the best features in the App itself. Everything you do and kill is recorded and all accessed in the palm of your hands. Keeping a summary of your level and rank, K/D ration, time played and Win Percentage. The App also included a Prestige Calculator which allows you to check how long it will take you to prestige to the next level. (I know I’m also appalled at myself)

Recent Matches - Recent matches deals with your last ten matches, which allows you to view eight statistics from K/D, Kills, Deaths, Headshots, Score, SPM, Assists, and XP. Each graph/bar displays the average over a 10 game span. Tapping on the graph or bar you can quickly see the summary of that particular game. Tapping on the game you can view a more detailed screen displaying the stats for that particular game.

Custom Classes - Customising classes it one of my favorite things to do in MW3 and by far the most time spent trying to make the perfect class. I know I’m not alone when I say this but does everyone have a silent class, assault class and rage class. Maybe just me?
With the ability to customise my class when I’m up and about or just lying in bed, I know when I boot up MW3 my classes are ready to rock and roll. A feature which I will like to see in the App is the ability to find more info on each weapon and perk. Something which I liked on the PC. Other than that customising your class hasn't been more easy than this

Challenges - I’m not much of a completionist but if your one, you will find this part of the App very handy. Your also given the ability to track specific challenges which you wish to complete. The challenges section of the App doesn't have much to it than just a pie chart giving the percentage of how much is completed of that particular challenge.

Find a Friend - The great feature to find a friend is that you can find anybody’s profile as long as you have there “gamertag”. View a friends loadouts, recent matches, stat and challenges. All is to share for Elite Members. I can find this very handy when I want to know what weapon the guy is using who keeps killing me all the time. Then copy his loadout and give him a piece of his own medicine. (I’m crazy I know)

COD Elite App Got Wrong
Its really hard to say whats wrong and whats right in these type of Apps, It works or it doesn't. Beside the hiccup early the App runs fine as mentioned. The only suggestions I would make is that to bring more of the Perineum stuff what Elite members get to the App. With servers going down all the times its hard to say if its just you or something terrible has gone wrong on the other side. A simple Red and Green button pointing out if the service is running would be great and very helpful when maintenance is happening or a problem has occurred. These small things can improve the App so much I think and offer a better experience which they have already given.
What suggestions do you think could improve this App?
The Final Verdict
Overall the App is fantastic. Slick, easy to use and definitely worth the download. With broken servers, delays and dead ends the Elite service hasn't been all but trouble. The Elite experience just got a little better with the Elite App, being able to navigate though all the important info that I need to enhance my MW3 game. I would definitely suggest that that if you have a iOS or Android to get this Free App and enjoy the Elite experience which you have been missing.
Note: this App is only for Elite Members.
