Syndicate was released last month overseas, RC here so we'll never get to play it.

If it passes the Senate, then its law. The Greens and Coalition have backed it in the past, so chances are we're set for it to become official.

An R18+ rating won't mean the end to RC. A game that has been classified as RC needs to be resubmitted, which is up to the publisher.

I still think we'll see RC.

Definitely. It'll really just mean that a lot of games that are currently MA will become R, like COD, Battlefield etc which carry an 18+ rating in the UK.

Although it should stop the stupid bannings like Mortal Kombat.

Probably in the most extreme cases I think. I wonder what happens if you import RC games though? Like, games that most likely won't get resubmitted due to their age.
